  1. I have new Golo 33" putter with a cosmetic imperfection. My retailer is less than concerned about it, says he doesn't sell many SC's and really doesn't what to tie up another $300 in inventory. I was planning to send the putter back to Titleist or Scotty Cameron for their assessment and I find out that I can't, that I have to work through the retailer. If Billy Casper Golf doesn't want to work with me why would another retailer who made no money on the transaction? All I really want is for someone to tell if this is a correctable problem, a defect, or something that is common that I have to live with

I have 3 Vokey's and two Titleist hybrids in that bag and I have been playing Titleist golf balls since the days of the Balata. So why would a customer who spends $600-$700 a year on Titlest product not to mention $350 on a brand new putter get this type of service?

I sent an image directly to Scotty Cameron, I have had putters refinished previously so I'm in their database and I am hoping for a reply. But if nothing happens...

If you purchased a putter with a cometic imperfection, how didnt you notice it when you picked it up?  If the dealer is authorized and a legit dealer, he should handle it for you.  Worse case, take your receipt and putter and get a refund.

Find an authorized dealer, best bet is a local pro-shop, and buy a new one you will be happy with.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you!

  3. Thanks for the response Brian

I didn't notice the imperfection until after I was on the course, its not that easy to spot actually. I pointed it out the moment I finished and I was referred to their "Titleist guy" who then took a week to talk with his "Inventory Manager."  The Titleist guy then took another week to inform me that the Inventory guy, who has never seen the putter, said that Titleist wouldn't take it back.

The problem is with the dealer,, once Titleist gets wind of this issue I'll post an update.

Hi James,  I spoke to Justin over at the golf course and there must have been a misunderstanding somewhere.  He is going to set up a Warranty inspection and have the putter sent back to Titleist to see if this is a defect or a variance in the color.  Give Justin a call and he can set it up for you.

  5. Thanks Cathi

Before I posted here I had sent an email to Scotty Cameron's custom shop and I received a reply yesterday. They suggested that I clean the putter head with baby oil and it worked - the entire club is restored - looks brand new. Unbelievable.

I thanked Lauren there today and I thank you for all you assistance with Billy Casper golf and the next time I see Justin I will tell him what happened and thank him for his accommodation.

Anyone who reads should know that Titleist is very responsive to the needs of their customers

    Thanks again.
