I am playing AP1 710 3-pw here lately I am pushing the ball of to the right about 35 yards w/ the 5,4and 3 irons.

I play my 6 and down spot on it may be time to fully commit to the 712 AP2 irons .

That's almost a shank. Are you losing a lot of distance?

Generally when you push, the path is way inside out but the face is square on the swing path.  A toe down hit (caused by standing too erect) also causes a push and a loss of distance.   Also hitting closer to the hosel causes a push slice.   An open clubface along the target line would start straight and then slice.  Over the top starts left and then goes right.  Flat lie angles wouldn't cause that much of an error - would miss greens slightly right,

Check to make sure you're not standing too close to the ball (for me, that is a cause of that kind of a push) - that is the biggest cause of swing faults (shanking , blocked shots, hooks).

If anything, AP1s are more forgiving than AP2s.
