I purchased a new 8.5 driver and three wood from my pro shop here in Germany on Ramstien air base recently, and noticed that the serial numbers were not there. My question is should there be one? I know almost all if not all Titleist clubs have one. Also they were ordered directly from Acushnet Europe ltd. which I see is listed in the company contact list. I even went back to check the other drivers and woods that they had in stock, and none had a number. Is there something fishy here or is this normal?

    Hi Cody,

There is nothing to worry about. All standard stock items that haven't been customised will not have a serial number on. Only custom orders will be etched with a 6 digit number followed by a zero, this will be etched on the clubhead/ferrule.

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Hannah
  3. Hi Hannah,

If a customised driver head is replaced, will the replacement head have a serial number? thanks
  4. Hannah, i have a TSr2+ 14.5 with this number just above the TSr B221147T237, i cannot find anything else with numbers above the TSr, what do these numbers mean?

Note Hannah’s post is almost 8 years old. I don’t think she is with Titleist anymore - or hasn’t posted in several years. Your number is just a unique serial number etched into the fairway hosel. You can register that number with Titleist with the purchase date for warranty claims within a year of purchase. Assuming you bought it new from an authorized dealer.

You learn something new every day. All mine have serial numbers. Always get fitted and go the custom route. Thanks for the info Hanna. Never really thought about it. With respect.
  7. I was fit at a Titleist fitting event. Got a driver, 16.5, and 21 wood all with stock shafts. Only non stock were upgraded grips. All have serial numbers. Do grips really qualify as a custom order?
