    I was fit for a set of 712 CB's4 years ago and want to move to the Ap2 model. Should I get refit or can I use my set up from my last purchase?

    With two models released since your 712's, getting refit is definitely the way to go. You may match the same set up as your last purchase, but technological changes might adjust your specs or type of shaft. And who knows, the new 716 CB's are pretty nice. You might just like to test those too. Good luck. The fun is about to begin!

    I would definitely take the time to get refit. A lot can change in your swing in 4 years not to mention the differences in 712 CB and 714 or 716 Ap2. I was refit last year with my Ap2's and made a big difference.

    By the way, you'll love the Ap2's - best iron I have ever played by far.

    Different heads...I think you should get refit. Your set-up that worked with your 712 CBs may not be true with 716 AP2s.

    I would, the irons have different launch characteristics. Might end up with a totally different shaft because of it.

    Tim, I'm sure lots of people will say yes you should.
    I have just returned from a fitting for the AP2's and the results are virtually the same as the DCI's I was fitted for about 15 years ago. The only difference is the updated shaft of the same brand as they no longer make the one I had. The lie is exactly the same.
    However, your swing may have changed!

    I get refit every year since new products have different characteristics plus there are new shafts to experiment with as well!

    I would suggest getting fit again, you may have some changes in the swing and there may be better shaft options for you now than were available when the 712s came out.

    Absolutely you should get refit. I would be completely worth it. Your swing speed has probably changed and other factors also. Myself jumped up to a stiffer shaft when I got fit again. I highly recommend it.

    I would go for a complete fitting. Loft, Lie and shaft considerations may be different. A quality Titleist fitter, with outdoor facilities, would be my recommendation. You have to be able to see the ball flight, and that requires an outdoor facility.

    I had to do a complete refit when I got my 712's. Because I started working out 3 days a week and weight loss my swing & address position had changed. I was not so upright at address. My old clubs were 2 degrees up & 1/4 longer. My 712's are standard loft, lie & length. I try to re-check every 2 years because things change.
