Hi Peter, You have purchased an older 909 fitting head. These were our first interchangeable heads used only for fitting. When we discontinued the model, we glued them together with a shaft and sold them "as is". There is no difference in durability, but it was produced in 2008-2010. They are no longer interchangeable as we did not carry forward any adaptors or shafts.
