  1. What a fantastic club and fitting! I have played Titleist since the company started making clubs way back I guess in the 1970's. Yes I am over 70. Have played blades ( 680, 712, 714, 716) for years. Currently play the new T-MB irons which are the most amazing irons ever. But to my story about the 917. Traded my 915D3, 10.5 for the 917D3, 10.5, stiff, Blue Dianama, 60. Fitting astounded me. They made 3 changes in the club. Reduced the standard loft of 10.5 to 9.75; set the face to draw; and inserted the draw weight. All of that draw stuff surprised me because the 915 was set at standard everything and I was still a draw player. My starting distance on the machine was avg 208-210 (which is consistent with actual play) and spin factor of 3400. After about 30 minutes and the changes, the spin rate was down to avg 2200 and distance 238! I could not believe it but that afternoon my round of golf confirmed the additional distance. Hitting from places I have not been in years. I am not a big man, 6 feet, 152 lbs. so with a proper fitting, I am convinced the 917 will be a success. One last thing.....the new sound of the club is much appreciated. Gone is the twang to something more like a poof sound. Don't let that fool you the ball jumps! Thank you Titleist!

That is a phenomenal fitting D. Kudo's to your fitter. I would love to be hitting it 238 and I'm probably 14 years your junior. Well done!
