  1. Does anyone know if this is a new product release year for hybrids? If so, when will they possibly be released?

    Thanks

Titleist put the 816/818s on the same release cycle as the 716/718 irons, as many get fit for both at the same time. Should be available for fittings around beginning of September and shipped in early October. Based on the last 2 releases.
  3. Thank you, Don for the response.

Probably. 818's have been around for a couple of years and I think that Titleist would want to release new irons and hybrids at the same time.
  5. Using more hybrids in my game. Lowest I have is a 20 degree which I love. Want an 18, but have been told to use the 21-degree metal wood I have instead. I'm really plus-minus with it. Totally depends on the day. Are 18-degree hybrids that tough to hit???
  6. I have a 17 degree hybrid and it's so much easier to hit than a fairway wood

This topic is really an individual preference. I'd toss out the trend that the 4/5/7 woods are more common with slower head speeds and higher swing speeds seem to prefer hybrids. I can't hit a 19 hybrid any further than a 23H, but I can hammer a 7W 20 yards further than the 23H. Then there are those that get a T-MB 2 iron instead of a 19H. Great excuse to at least find a demo day if not a Titleist Thursday to contrast and compare.

I have an old 15* hybrid that I use in four club games. It is a lot easier to hit than my 15* 917 wood. I even have a couple of 13* Nickent hybrids I still use on very tight driving holes. And I don't have a problem getting them off the ground. But my day in and day out hybrids are 818 H2s. The new hybrids are not 'hook machines'.
