Can anyone comment or point me to the thread (why am I missing a Forum search function?) pertaining to how Titleist does a combo set, ie: AP2/AP3 or T100/T200 with the lie stagger different between the lines independently. And is this a smart thing? Just had a fitting last week in Indy and although I've been an AP2 guys since 2010, the fitter hinted I may want to look more closely at the T200's. And while I wrote that notion off upon immediate thought, I'm now wondering (since I have seen such a thing in recent years) if I should consider 4&5 or 4-6 in something like an AP3/T200 and the shorter irons in my preferred AP2/T100 look and feel.

Again, don't want to be redundant as I'm sure this has been discussed previously. Thanks TT!

  2. Lie angles are uniform across the line so i assume you mean lofts? Blending sets can be tricky. Sometimes when i do fittings with other brands we end up having two different 4 irons, so to keep it more uniform and gapped correctly we may strengthen or weaken the loft of a club. The soon to be available T100S irons are designed to blend better with tje T200 irons.

Dave M, yes you are correct, I mean loft, NOT lie angle (yikes). If a T100 wedge is 46 and a T200 is 48, if one orders a combo set, do they "build" the set so the player still has a 4 degree loft stagger throughout? Many thanks for your kindness in responding!

Sorry, amendment to the above. So in looking back at the 718 T-MB. Could this be an alternative to someone who likes a blade look (and feel)...either as a full set or a combo when paired with AP2. Again. I like the blade look but being a 7 handicap, I certainly have my share of misses, especially in the longer irons. Does the T-MB sacrifice the "feel" of an AP2? Thanks again TT community
