How much different is the T300 to last years AP1???

Size, lofts, overall performance much similar. I think the biggest difference is in the mid to long irons where the weight bar has been added.

Size and profile wise, they are very similar. Performance, so far I give the edge to the T300. I have picked up about a club to club in half distance. That may also be due to being fit for the proper shaft.

The T300 have a very nice solid feel to them. I have zero regrets with them

I’ve found my T300 irons to be one club longer than last model of AP1 irons I tested.

Did a little research on the lofts over the past few years. I was fitted and purchased the T300s in September 2019.
Love the height, distance and accuracy. I was playing 716AP1s in a S300 105XP shaft. At the age of 73 felt something was missing. In answer to you question, when the 718s came out they decreased the lofts by 1* adding about five yards to each of the clubs. The nine iron thru the stock wedges remained the same. With the T300 released they decreased the irons by another degree which added five years over the 718s, 4 iron thru 8 iron. According to my fitters they say the 1* is equivalent to five yards. So when I purchased my new irons T300 I was picking up another club, plus I changed to the AMT Red R300 shafts. Very light light and a much easier shaft for me. I went from hitting my 7, 140-145, to 155-160.....again, great height, distance and accuracy.....the T300s are a good investment but with the right shaft they could be the right club for you.....with a proper fitting.....I tried all the new heads and a number of different shafts before we settled on this set up......remember, no two people are alike, and Trackman proves that.....best of luck....

I also have AP1 716s. I am about to order the T300s but I'm concerned the sole width on the longer irons will be very hard to adjust to. Are the widths of,say, the 5 irons comparable or is the T300 really wider than the AP1? Thanks.

A proper fitting is a must, then watch the ball it does not lie, as my club pro says.

I haven’t had an AP1 for some time. I only have a 6 iron in the new T300 series but do have a 5 iron in the original. Comparison to the 7 iron looks similar for both. I had the T400 but the wide sole was difficult to hit out of deeper rough. Went with the T300 for a thinner sole.
It would be more pronounced going from the AP2 than from the AP1
