I wonder should TS4 driver crown have a slight ”edge” along club face just a little bit behind of aiming triangle base line. I have noticed that my TS4 club head have that ”edge”. There is no crack or sharp edge but it is like crown radius changes on that line and make a ”edge” between two different radius. I noticed that ”edge” when I inspected my club head, I have noticed lately after couple well struck drives that ball didn’t fly as long as earlier. It is visible clearly when watching a mirror image of club head crown and moving club head slightly.

My friend crack his driver (not a Titleist club) 3 weeks ago so I started to wonder is that a normal. We have trained a lot of drives so that make me wonder is it possible that those club heads could aging fast during training.

Eikka, if it looks suspicious enough to you that it may be a defect, I would suggest you take it to the place where you bought it and have them inspect it as a starting point.
    Good luck.
  3. I send inquiry about defect and Titleist replace my TS4 head - It was broken. Sending a new TS4 head took 5 weeks. I carefully checked new head and it was flawless.

Two times at range and 9 holes then I noticed same problem with new head it was even worse than earlier. So same waiting of 5-6 weeks again.

They meantioned earlier that TS head are really hard to find and thats why sending took so long. They still find somewhere a new TS head.

Now I have tested a new head multiple times and found out that it is really low spin/launch compared my earlier heads. Normal launch was 13-14 degr. and spin 2200-2500 with this new head launch is 8-10 and spin 1400-1800. Everything else (ball, LM setup, shaft, etc.) is same than earlier. Head weight/swing weight are identical to earlier head. Is there so wide manufacturing tolerances or have someone seen earlier that with same model/degree heads have so big difference?

Update to this thread. I got that earlier meantioned third head and after a month of winter training indoor golf hall it develop a similar ridge than earlier two heads. They asked head back to local manufacture representative and after inspection they decided that there is no any defect on that head. Head have a similar ridge than earlier heads and I have pictures when it arrived first time to me. Those pictures dont have that ridge. I asked writen announcement about their comment that head dont have defect because of tournament golf. I have noticed that sometimes that ball comes really hot if the face (+8mph ball speed from normal) but it is ok (as long as head wont crack) for me if manufacturer has said that there is no defect. =)
  5. It is a defect. It also happens to the tsi4 heads. I'm already on my 4th tsi4 head.

I can't seem to post a pic here but If I could I can shoe you how my ts4 head looked after the ridge pops
