  1. I ordered two U500's (16 deg - 1 iron) in the past (one bent down 2 degrees and one not). I use the standard one to this day (and absolutely LOVE the club). I had to sell the one that was bent down - because the ball was coming off the face weird. Like it was a knuckle ball type effect. It would fly off the face weird.

Any one else have this issue after clubs were bent strong?

After the club's loft was changed, did you check the lie?
  3. No I didn't. Would that affect how the ball spins off the face? How do I check that?

The person that bent the club has a machine that can check the lie angle. Too flat and you catch the heel, too upright you catch the toe.

I would guess that at 14 degrees the spin decreased enough compared to the 16 club, that this lack of spin causes it to "fall out of the sky". For drivers, 3000 is too much spin (the ball balloons up), 1800 - 2000 is great, but once you get down to 1600, 1500, 1200, the ball takes off for a couple of seconds (and many times knuckleballs), then drops to the ground. Not enough backspin to keep it in the air.
