    Given the great tech and development over the past decade from the great minds at Titleist, it makes perfect sense for us TT Golf-nuts to take advantage of the fruits of their labor for the benefit of our golf games and enjoyment levels. But at this time, I'd like to scan the TT family for those that have chosen to stay with the MB models. That's not to say that there has not been any developments in the MBs, just relatively less from what I see - I could be wrong. I, for one, have had a turbulent 10 years with my 712 MBs but looking back, I'm happy to say that I am still married to them but it has certainly made me look to other aspects of the game for improvement - such as the Titleist Performance Institute for fitness, mobility and technique improvement. One caveat, I have thoroughly enjoyed the tech improvements with my wedges and ball selection. Looking for other MB players opinions out there!

    Like you, most Muscle Back iron players are comfortable with their set for longer periods of time and technology is limited in design and material so the change cycle would naturally be less frequent. The design feedback is much more heavily focused on their tour players input so design will tend to mirror their preferences. I have not hit blades since the late 1980's and have been very happy that Titleist has but so much energy and effort into great products for us hackers. Titleist will continue to support the needs of all golfers so I am sure the next generation of blades will continue to be awesome and available to those who enjoy them. Glad you enjoy yours!

    I have a set of 690 MBs and I love them. They are the best feeling clubs I have ever had and would still be playing them if I was still good enough. Right now the CNCPT-CP03s are about as much as I can handle for how little I play.

    I’ve recently put my 716 MBs back in the bag. I have 151 rounds and over 2500 iron/wedge shots in a strokes gained app and I can confirm that for me, my GIR and proximity to the pin on GIR and misses are about equal with multiple types of irons. I’ve had a great time trying all the different clubs I could but there’s something about seeing the MBs in the bag that just make me want to go play. I’ve had a few years recently where my rounds/year has really decreased. Time to get that back up and enjoy every minute of it. :)

    Im still using my 690MB got them when i was training as an assistant pro nearoy 20 years ago. Absolutely love them. Not playing as much has proven difficult and find the odd one that rattles up the arms haha. But i will continue to use them until I cant lol. I have toyed with the idea of a new set and running the longer irons in a cb version

    I still have my 620 MB irons and will probably end up back with them at some point, but I am enjoying the little bit of help the T100 offers when my swing is not feeling great.

    I grew up playing MB's all the way back to my first set of hand-me-down macregors to my first set of brand new clubs (MP 14's). My first set of Titleist MB's were a set of 680's and Ive just kept the tradition alive. 680, 695, 710-718 and I'm on my third set of 620's (just got my most recent set a few weeks ago). It's something that Ive always gravitated towards. I did give the past generation of T100's a try and, kept my T100 3iron but... the 620's are just better for how I like to play.

    Thanks for your reply Casey. What have you found are the differences between the 680, 695, 710-718 and the 620's. I am interested in trying out the 620s and getting a new fitting for them early next year unless Titleist has any plans for updating the MB line in the future - in which case I would hold off until then..

    Like others have said with a muscle back iron, what you see is what you get. There isn't much that they can change. I currently play the 716 mbs and am quite happy with them. I have hit the 620 mbs and did not see to much difference in them vs. the 716s. So, I would say if you can get a good deal on the 716s 0r 718s, you would be happy with them.

    I also never saw an improvement in my game when switching from MB’s to the game improvement irons. If I’m going to shoot same scores, I’d rather do it with MB’s

    I have a set of 620 MBs and a set of T100 irons that I switch between from time to time. The MBs are a great club and to be honest my score does not change much, if at all when I play the MBs. For me there isn't a lot of difference in feel between the 2 models. I do notice when playing the MBs that missing the sweet spot causes the ball to come up short more than what I have experienced with the T100 set. Everyone loves the look of a muscleback and there is always 1 person that makes the comment "ooh you play musclebacks..." Titleist has done a fantastic job on the aesthetic with the T100 series so I think those look pretty sweet too. Fortunately for me I get to play both sets and deciding which to put in play on a given day depends entirely on a random set of variables that I rationalize in the moment. Both the MBs and the T100 are great.

    I played 710MBs for almost a decade. Nothing was getting me out of them. I spent a year in TM’s P7MB but wasn’t loving them. One session at a Titleist fitting last year got me back into a Titleist blade. I love the look of the 620s. Quite possibly the nicest looking blade ever. On top of that, they feel incredible. My fitter put me into the T100 in my 4,5 irons to get a high launch with a soft landing as I wanted more green holding ability with those clubs.

    I’m glad to be back in Titleist clubs again.
