I have struggled with my confidence off the tee for a while on tight holes or holes that dogleg left (I play a cut with my driver) and that has been the biggest thing I've aimed to improve in my bag. I attempted to hit hybrids off the tee but they always seem to hook and I always end up resorting to my 4-iron as my "fairway finder". This past weekend I finally was able to purchase a Titleist U505 2 iron and the club is absolutely amazing. I'm hitting 235-240 bombs almost every single time with barely any spin. If there is movement it's usually a tight draw like the rest of my irons. I haven't needed to hit the club off the ground yet (I'm sure I'll see great results) but off the tee I think this will be my new "go-to" club. The club launches the ball high in the air considering the 18 degrees of loft and seems to be very forgiving. Has anyone else have any success in switching from hybrids to driving/utility irons?

Yes, I have attempted to game hybrids and 5 woods to fit that part of the bag. While they produce good numbers, I cannot control them. I too game a U505 2 iron in that part of the bag and have had similar results. High launch with lower spin and carries 225-230yds. The club is very forgiving too! Also, made the switch to T350s in my 4/5 irons and have seen similar results. Confidence boosters for sure!
