I recently bought a Titleist TSI2 5 wood, as I have been in the market for one for a while now. Now I am faced with the decision of which clubs to keep in my bag, I currently have a Wilson Staff C300 3 Hybrid which I originally thought about replacing with the 5 wood, but I also have a TS2 3 wood and a TSI2 4 hybrid. I don't know whether to replace my 3 hybrid for my 5 wood, or my 4 iron for my 5 wood.

Do any or all provide you with the correct 10-15 yards distance gap? Is one more reliable to hit a consistent distance? Only you would know. The 4H, 3H, and 5W are probably 22, 19, and 18 degrees. Unlikely that all are 10-15 yards apart.

Adding an opinion, if the 3W distance can vary by 30 yards and the 5W on average is 10 yards less, but consistently +/- 5 yards, you might want to pull the 3W.

Of course, we’d recommend eliminating the Wilson. We are biased here….

Get that rouge 3 hybrid out of your bag. The TS2 3-wood, TSi2 5-wood, and TSi2 4-hybrid should gap well. You can always set the 5 wood weak and the 4-hybrid strong to get them closer.

For me, I would replace the 3 hybrid with my 5 wood. The only hybrid that I really like is a 21 deg 4 hybrid.
My 5 woods goes longer than my 4 iron. 5 wood is closer to a 3 hybrid, that it is me.
To resume, 3 woods, 5 woods, 4 hybrid, 4 iron,
The 4 hybrid should be close to a 7 wood.
I hope this could help you, but your best way to know is to try these clubs or have a meeting with a good fitter.

    Best regards,

The 5 wood is closer in loft to a 3 hybrid. I just replaced my TS2 23 hybrid with a TSR1 9 wood.

This 9 wood worked very well this AM. I’m putting in an 816H1 25H standard loft (just awaiting a 6g head weight; have a weight kit on order and my local fitter will give me one Monday). The lofts in my bag, as it stands are 13.5-19.5-24.5-28-34.5-39-46-52-58-64.

I dialed the 27H to stock loft and had the T200 8 iron set to 33*. I can alternate between the T200/TI00S combo and 716CB/MB combo (32-39).

I have a TS2 18 fairway and it is very solid (A3 surefit setting with Diamana 72 x5ct R and 7g headweight). I find it much easier to hit the TSR1 23 fairway vs a 23 hybrid. I'm carrying the TSR1 20 fairway and also the TSR1 26 hybrid. The 20 fairway is being evaluated for possible use in a "Sunday" bag in place of the 18 and 23 fairways. I get 190-200 with the 18 fairway (set at 19.5) and about 175 with the 23 fairway. The 26H is 160. My normal 7 wood distance is 185 or so.
