Some background. Index 3.5, 55 years old, driver swingspeed 103 mph. Game a GT3 driver.
I bought the club as soon as it showed up online and went with the Denali Ble 70G Stiff as I have a smoother swing and like a bit out counterbalance. My GT3 shaft is a Fubuki Ion Prototype m7003 profile (iykyk).
My use case for this club is for tee shots where 270 is max distance and/or control is at a premium. The first shot I hit with it I knew it would be an immediate keeper. Consistent ball flight, can be worked both ways, excellent Titleist acousting and sets up incredibly well. It is either a larger three wood or a throw back driver to the first days of metalwoods. You can press this club to really max it out and the contact is very stable, ball flight hits the right windows etc. You can finesse the club as well- hitting lower draws that run forever or cut the ball with a controlled fade. It is neutral at setup which is a very Titleist thing that I like. Visually all class.
My only caveat is off the deck which is a 'me problem'- I simply do not generate enough club head speed to hit this consistently off the deck. My course has very tight lies in the fairway and sometimes you can get the 'launching pad' lie in the first cut. That said, I have a GT3 7 wood with a 5 wood length shaft in it that is magical. You can hammer it and it goes straight up and long.
Very happy with the GT280 and Titleist knocked it out of the park IMO.
