Ok, I have been away from the sport for a while and now I'm getting my equipment updated. I have the U505 2 iron and when I hit it well...oh my. Problem is I have zero confidence in it and it is not easy to hit. I got fitted for T100's p-6 and T250's 3-5. I haven't received my 250's yet. Here is my thought process, ditch the 2 iron because the T250 3 iron will probably fill that distance slot or close to it and get a 5 wood. I currently have a big gap between the driver and the soon to be 3 iron. I was hoping the 2 iron would be the answer but it's just really hard to hit for me. Oh, I also have a 19* hybrid which I do not like. I'm thinking ditch the 2 iron and get a 5 wood and call it a day.

Sounds like you have a plan. Please, don’t follow any advice except that of your fitter. Everyone is different and the only thing that matters is that you have the set that works best for you. Enjoy and best of luck on all your future rounds.

Picked up a TSr3 5 wood and did indeed ditch the 2 iron. First practice session yesterday and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results. The 5 wood is incredibly easy to hit off a tee with a feel that matches my GT2 driver. Hitting off the deck was a bit of a work in progress as I have never played a 5 wood. Once I figured out how to swing it wow it got the ball in the air easily with fantastic ball flight. I already feel confident this will be a great club off the tee when the driver is too much. Off the deck it will take some time and practice for me to feel more confident. I'm sure the U505 driving irons are a great option for a lot of people, but for me the 5 wood is hands down the easier club to hit.

Welcome to TT my fellow East Tennessean. Spurrier country, I see. From K-town, big orange fan, living down here in gamecocke country. Hope to see you at one of the events in the future.

    T250 Launch Spec
Wow! Finally got these yesterday and played today. History lesson…and bank account pain, I’ve tried the ‘23 t350’s, the the t200’s, then the t150’s then the t250’s, and the FINALLY the t250 launch spec. I could have saved thousands but what the hell. T250 launch spec are amazing. I have a slightly over the top swing and at age 60 it’s not going to change! These irons are pure, like all Titleist, but for some reason they are way easier to hit. I have to club up for sure, but to finally get good ball flight it’s worth it. For old guys like me it brings me back to my younger days when I HAD good ball flight.
