  1. For Titliests First mini driver I am actually impressed I was never really a titlites guy, but a few months ago was struggling with 3w hit my buddies 913F and I was hitting it so good he ended up letting me keep it and hit his tsr2 a few times

Now Here I am buying my own TSR2 & a GT280 but the GT280 is so long off the tee & so easy to hit off the deck I’m seriously considering dropping both driver & 3w

The 913 driver is coming up on 14 years old. Great club back then...

If you can find a Titleist sponsored fitting ($100 deposit, applied to a purchase that day) you can go through driver, mini-driver and fairway to see which best gives you distance and dispersion. It may well be that the main-driver make-up with dispersion for what if might lose in distance. Not everyone finds the mini to be as easy off the turf as an actual fairway, but that is an individual situation.

Good luck on getting the results that work best for you.
  3. Hi, I bought the GT280 last fall to replace my driver. I was not consistent enough with a driver. This has been a game changer for me. Sure not as long as a driver , but way more fairways hit. My scores are better and handicap has gone down. I did tried off the deck with not much success . Need to work on that. You have to decide what is more important to you when playing this crazy sport. Love the game and enjoy.....

I'm seriously considering a GT280. I have a TSR4 that I was fit for several years ago and it's strugglebus every time with that thing. I've tried literally every hosel adjustment, I took an inch off the shaft to in theory try to find more control, added lead tape. Lessons too. For every 1 that I hit halfway decent, there are 100 that are terrible. I hit my TSR3 3 wood great and often as far or further than the TSR4. Full disclosure, I've never been a great driver of the golf ball. Had a TS3 and 913D2 previously and other brands prior, all have been challenging.

Maybe later this spring when the weather is more consistent, I'll go get fit, because leaving my TSR4 in the bag all the time is an unfortunate and an inefficient use of the space.
