  1. Full disclosure, I have been a miz man, when it comes to irons, my whole golfing life. I moved to Titleist woods last year, love them and want to take the step of changing my irons. I use blades and want to get people's thoughts. I really like the 620MBs, but should I go for a mix. 4-6 iron in T100 and 7-PW in 620MB or should I just go full set of either? My handicap is 4 and I am quite consistent and can shoot under par regularly. Let me know what you think?

Oh, dear, here it comes (again).

The option for you is what a qualified Titleist fitter AND you decide through a fitting. A majority of pros use mixed sets and not one of them added a club based on the next guy on the range had. Your swing is uniquely yours.

With a handicap of 4, you're only decision should be go with a qualified full fitting. You'll be happier in the long run.

I’ve gone down this road myself, and honestly the biggest takeaway for me was how many variables there really are once you start digging in. It’s not just T100 vs 620MB or mixed vs full set — it’s shaft profile, weight, length, lie, head choice, gapping, even grip size. When you start mixing heads on top of all that, it gets complicated fast.

That’s why I’m a huge believer in going to a Titleist Fitting Centre if you can. The amount of options they have — heads, multiple shafts in the exact weights/flexes, ability to dial in length and lie on the spot — is on another level compared to most retail fittings. You actually get to see what performs best instead of guessing on paper.

I went in thinking I knew what I wanted and came out with something I never would’ve chosen on my own, and it made a real difference. No pressure, no hype — just data and feel.

If you’re a 4 index and already consistent, a proper fitting will only sharpen things. You won’t regret it.

Fitting is 1 thing people will suggest, I have had multiple fittings in my life. Some where worth it and some were not. If you got the time and can acces the best fitters in the world who take pride in getting you in the right thing, then totally worth it. With a 4 handicap you got a good idea with whats going on. Best thing you can do is head to a golf shop and try some the irons out. I like the t100's they are great! I would also recommend you try the T150's. You can hit them and then if you like them maybe schedule a fitting if you want that. Let us know what you think!
