Titleist U505 3 Iron with a crack on top

    Hello!

    I just bought a used U505 3 Iron and it has a crack on top. The seller says he played it two months and there was no difference in use and sound. He also asked his fitter about it and he confirmed that it is just cometics. So I bought it for a low price.

    Today I tried it and the sound is pretty high and pingy. Now I am not sure if this crack really is no issue and pure cosmetics. What do you think about it? Have you ever seen an iron crack on top?

    Sell it back to him at half price, and mark it down as "lesson learned"

    There is some kind of buyer protection. But that is just an option, if he described it wrong. As long its just cosmetics, he is right. Thats the problem.

    If the price is too good to be true…..

    I might buy a used club with a purely cosmetic issue, but that crack is not cosmetic.
