I've been wearing the FJ Dryjoy Tours going back to when they came out in the 80's. I've yet to find a shoe that provides the stability I like, keeps my feet dry in all conditions, but doesn't overheat in the summer and lasts a very long time. My question is whether that are any team members who wear the FJ traditional all leather models and why? Do you just have one pair or many Ala' Ian Poulter? Cheers!

I have a collection of different styles on my shoe rack. DryJoy Tours/MyJoys), ProSLs, Premiere, 1 pr ICON bicycle toe MyJoys, Tour S and various off course FJ shoes. I just ordered a pair of the Traditions this morning. I wore mainly DryJoy Tours since I started playing golf in the late 80's. I like them because of the fit and they last forever if properly taken care of. Our of the box and you can walk 18 with ease. Since the Pro/SLs came out, I want something that is lighter and they fit the bill. At 75 I am not as light on my feet as I use to be, but I still wear my custom designed DJ Tours. Sorry to see them leave the line. Like the FJ Classics, all good things come to an end. The new Premieres provide that all leather upper, have that classic look, but provide a much lighter sole. Something to consider. Only one person I know in the FJ family that actually may exceed Ian's collection and he lives up the road in Virginia. His collection is mainly MyJoys and something to behold. Think Ian would be amazed.

Love Dryjoys Tour. Worn them for years. Many, MANY pairs of them. I was disappointed to see they were being discontinued this year. Then I saw the new Premiere models. They are lighter weight and yet just as classic looking as the Dryjoys Tour were, in my opinion. I have a few pairs already in both the Tarlow and Packard editions. They are beautiful shoes. Here's the Tarlow Premiere model I ordered in a custom MyJoys black croc.

With the new MyJoy options, you can get the base in plain or pebble grain. I am a huge fan of pebble grain shoes, which is a classic leather. It was between Bass pebble grain and cordovan Weejun penny loafers in high school in the mid sixties.

I like those DryJoys! I've had mine in the early 90s all in black and I still have them, but haven't played it in many years though I can't want to get rid of it. I've had so many good memories and luck with it and maybe that's the reason I hang on to it.

The classic look are my first choice, but some of the the new styles are also cool. I guess that makes me fall under "have a couple in rotation" and they're all FootJoy. The newest ones I got are DryJoys Premiere in Packard. They are the stock version and are exactly the style I like (for now). The biggest take away from them aside from great classic style is its comfort- the toe box has a lot of room, not to mention that it is very well made.

Stability, water proof is what DryJoys are all about. I've had the new Premiere a couple of times down the lower desert (90+ degrees there) and they were great! It also helps to wear Merino wool socks- will not over heat nor sweat.

I loved the old shoes, especially dry joys. I think the new premier series gets back to old school. The only issue I have are the packard series have no cleats and find them somewhat slick on cart paths and wet grass, not rain but sprinkler wet.

The Packard and Tarlow models in the DryJoys Premiere have 9 replaceable spikes in addition to the Versa-Trax+ Outsole. The Flint model will feature the Versa-Trax+ Outsole.

I still love the Icon Black line, and always will. I only have a pair of all black and all white, but I will wear them until the soles fall off!
