  1. Hello, I am in search of a new golf bag and I need recommendations. I started playing a couple of years ago when I bought a set of clubs and a bag on OfferUp. As time went on I got new clubs, but never a new bag. The bag I currently have is likely from the late 90s or early 2000s and it has seen better days. I would like to get a new bag and would like to see if anyone has any recommendations. Thank you.

  2. Hey there! Sounds like it’s definitely time to upgrade that bag—especially if it’s from the late 90s! If you're looking to stick with something Titleist, I’d highly recommend checking out the Players 5 Stand Bag or the Hybrid 14. The Players 5 is lightweight, super sleek, and perfect if you walk the course often. The Hybrid 14 gives you a bit more storage and works great on a cart too, so it's super versatile. Good luck with the upgrade!

There are bags, then there are bags for specific use. Do you carry, use a push/pull cart, use with a riding cart, frequently in rainy conditions, or frequently carry 6-8 clubs on an executive course?
Titleist offers Sunday carry bags, lightweight stand bags, stand bags with 4, 5, or 14 dividers, cart bags, mini-tour bags that can double as a cart bags, premium quality bags (Link Legend), tour level monster bags, and waterproof bags.
That pretty much runs the gamut of options not counting color. Once you decide on a style that mostly fits your use, then you might ask us hackers our preferences between 2 options.
Many of us will have 2 bags, be it a stand and cart bag, or a cart bag and a water repellent bag. Whatever combination you prefer.
Then there are other brands that don’t have logos like Titleist, TM or png on the bag. The options become exponential.

If you walk, I'd recommend the Players 5. If you ride, I will say Cart 15 or Mid Size Staff if you prefer a 6 way top.

As others have stated, it depends on what you want to use it for. I walk a little more than half the time, so I wanted a lighter weight bag that would still be able to hold all my other essentials. The Players 4 fit the bill for me at 3.4 lbs empty and sufficient number of pockets. The club slots are just a smidge small when you have all 14 clubs with midsize grips; at times it takes a little wiggling to get them in or out. My decision was between the Hybrid 5 and the Players 4, it came down to the lighter weight and how much I walk.

There are tons of options from Titleist and others - go take a trip to your local shop and check out which ones check your most important boxes!
