My 2i trajectory is sometimes higher than my brothers 6i. Even if I put it back in my stance and deflight it, its still very high.

How can I get a more piercing ball flight without ruining my swing?

    2i 235-250 carry. 4i210 carry 7i 175 carry

    Stiffer shaft

    Shaft with lower torque

    Ball that spins less

Bend your 2-iron loft a couple degrees stronger

Spread your feet farther apart-wider stance

All or combo of these can help do what your asking

You can look at the shaft. The shaft might be a high launch shaft. May need to go to a lower launch shaft so you don't change your swing.

Even though you're ball placement is back in the stance to deflight the ball, releasing the wrists too early and not driving down and through the shot will add loft to the ball.

A heavier shaft will generally speaking produce a lower trajectory.

Also, don't forget the ball.. Pro v1s have a lower overall trajectory than Pro v1xs.

I'd love to trade some of my low flight 2I for some of your high flight!

Mine only carries 200-210 with about 40 yards of roll.

My issue had been too high of a ball flight with the driver and 3 wood. OK with a high ball flight on a hybrid or iron because I want the ball to stop dead.

Shaft flex is one. Besides having too high of a ball flight, the tendency to pull or hit a snap hook is there.

Playing the ball too far forward gives a high ball flight. I play my short irons in the middle of the stance. hybrids and middle irons are slightly forward of center.

Tee height. I still follow the "1/2 ball above the crown of the driver" rule. I barely tee up anything else.

Flatter follow through will lower ball flight.

You can go see a PGA professional! People who hit it high, always wanna hit it low, and low ball hitters always want to hit it higher! Go see a professional and see if you really need to bring it down!
  9. Why do you want a lower flight? With the height your getting you can carry 240 yards on average over the biggest trees with no problems.

I think you should be super happy with what you have sounds like you hit the ball like Rory McIlroy.

Agree with those having you check on your shafts. What are you currently using?
  11. I tried the AVX to get lower flight and it worked, give it a go

Its better to hit a high ball. If you absolutely have to hit it lower (liike into the wind) swing a little easier/less aggressive to reduce spin from the ball and it'll be less affected by the wind. Personally, I love being able to launch a 5 iron over a big oak. A lot of golfers don't have that ability

Guys.......It's not the ball, shaft fitting , or ball placement. Getting on the range and hitting 100 yard " stingers" to start and gradually bring the ball up to the height you are looking for with any club by not over flipping the wrists.

I play with guys who can't hit a ball under a tree limb that's 15 feet off the ground and 20 yards in front of them. Takes practice !!!!

Mega Man Xlll is a big guy. He could probably hit the ball a foot into the groung just by topping it...lol

Good Luck Mega Man lll....go get it!!
