Just thought I'd share a quick tip I heard on the masters this weekend. Molinari was up and they talked about his heel lift on the down swing and how it makes him push off the ground and balance better. I gave it a whirl in my pre swing routine and I'll be darned...it felt great, made sense, and equated to more distance instantly! Hope it helps, one hacker to another!

Interesting that it helped you so quickly. This has been popular with the release of Brandel Chamblee's book, and his findings of many of the best players lifting the left heel throughout history. I have tried it myself and it causes me to lose my timing and rhythm. Im still working at it! Awesome for you, hopefully you're hitting some bombs!
  3. I have tried it, and can say after getting use to it I make more consistent contact which makes the ball fly further.
  4. It seems to me that lifting the back heel would shift your weight to your toes. I haven’t read Chamblee’s book or tried this myself, but I’ve always transferred my weight towards my instep/heel on the backswing and then drive with the instep. I’ll give this a try in the range and check back with some results.
