I am currently coming back from having rotator cuff, labrum, AC joint surgery, and have noticed a significant limitation in my swing (maintaining downward angle with irons), as well as driving the golf ball. I have tried changing my swing, adjusting my stance, etc.. Any tips or advice or exercises that can help me improve through/past my limitations would greatly be appreciated.

    Respectfully, Holden

Hi Holden, I hope you are doing well in recovery from the surgery! With something like this I would really hesitate to try any exercises without a Physical Therapy professional weighing in. Trying to push too far can have very adverse effects. Most areas of the country will have an orthopedic PT facility that has at least a moderate focus on sports related therapy. I’d recommend doing some research in your location and getting together with a good PT facility to ensure you’re doing appropriate exercises and stretches safely.

You're going to have to take this very slow coming back. Your whole move away and to the ball will change, it's almost like you're learning to play again. Find an instructor to guide you, even once a month. I've been through it with my collar bone and Tommy John surgery, it's rough, but you can do it.
