I'm 72 years old and have been playing golf since I was 12. My first hole in one happened this morning on the 169 yard 10th hole at Gallery Golf Links in Oak Harbor WA. The green is elevated so I did not see it go in the hole. I did however feel good about the shot so when the green came into view and I saw no ball on it I checked the hole and there it was. My round matched my lifetime low score of 77. A really unusual thing happened earlier in the round. On hole 7 my drive hit the cart path and rolled up next to the green. I measured the drive with my GPS and the drive traveled 342 yards!!! It has been YEARS since I last hit a 300 yard drive. All together this was an amazing round of golf.
