My friends and I went to a golf range together for the first time this past summer, and we all caught the golf flu instantly. More recently, we went to Boulder Oaks Golf Club in Escondido, CA for the first time. My hole in one took place on Hole 9, which was approximately 140 yards (par 3), and I teed off with a 5i (as you can tell I am a beginner). The ball went straight across the creek bounced twice and rolled into the hole. At the same time, a group of guys drove past in a golf cart who saw me tee-off and they were the ones who actually witnessed the hole in one and started screaming across the course. That's when I got excited and started screaming and rushed over to the hole to see it for myself. All in all it was a good day, and definitely a story I will be sharing with my kids one day.
