After 55 year of playing golf, at least 75 rounds per year, it finally happened , the elusive hole in one. The date was 9-25-21 on the 3rd hole at Angels Crossing Golf Club. It was a 167 yard hole , tee to green all marsh, with the green elevated 25 feet above the tee box. The club was a hybrid ( I am 75 years old ) and as the green was elevated I did not see the ball go in the hole. We " found " it in the hole. My 3, 4some members, signed the card and I ended up spending serious $ for a round of drinks for all members hanging out in the clubhouse. It was totally worth it. The ball is already at the trophy shop being mounted on a plaque with the scorecard . After 55 years I never thought this would happen , and do not expect it to happen again .
