Yesterday i was playing the usual round of 18 with the boys at smithtown landings country club in long island, NY. The day started off amazing, on hole 2, a 145 par 3 i hit my first ever ace! I used my taylor made sim2 8i. Everything just happened to work out so perfectly, from the ball strike, to the sound it made coming off the tee, and the ball flight itself. I seen it hit the green and roll a little and just had the best gut feeling about it, so i did what any sensible guy my age would do…and started recording on my phone the second i stepped off the tee box to walk to the cart, because i know if it did go in none of my other buddies would believe me lol. Let me tell you that short cart ride to the green felt like an eternity to drive too. Upon walking on the green, i seen a ball divot a few feet from the hole and started to get excited. And what would you know! My titleist tour speed ball was sitting right in the bottom of the cup! Of course I was a static, but I almost felt like I should’ve been happier. I think it was mainly because i was in shock that this even happened, this is the first year I’ve taken on golf and dove into it head first with lessons and playing multiple rounds a week, mix that with insane amounts of luck and the planets aligning and the result was my first hole in one! A few friends of mine have been playing for 20+ years and have yet to get one, and my first year I’m blessed/lucky enough to get my first! Keep chasing your dream Ace, I am living proof it could happen to anyone!
