  1. Suffices to say that my first hole-in-one was unique. I was playing in a 1-day Member Guest at Spanish Oaks Golf Club in Austin, TX last June. It was a shotgun start and our first hole was the par-4 5th hole, where I walked away with a disappointing bogey. I was seeking redemption when I stepped to the 290 yard par-4 6th with my driver in tow. As I teed my ball up, my partner said, "get it up there close where you have an opportunity to get up and down for birdie." The hole plays uphill but the flag was up, so I knew I could reach it with a great drive. I put a good swing on it and really liked the trajectory as it was tracking towards the green. It took two hops just short of the green and started tracking towards the hole. At that point, I said "get in the hole." - which was partly out of jest but there was some sincerity to it as I knew it was on a good line. We lost sight of the ball at that point and while I knew it was a good shot, no one truly thought that it had gone in.

We drove into the fairway and each golfer went to their respective balls. After locating my partner's ball, I headed towards the green to see how I fared. I purposefully avoided looking into the hole, instead walking towards the right side as there's a slight drop-off and I thought it may have rolled off. When I found no ball there, I had to look into the hole. I turned around, approached the hole and to my sheer and utter amazement, there it was. Without a doubt, it was the most incredible shot I have ever hit and I'm not sure I can ever top it. Truly a once in a lifetime shot.
