Been playing golf for about 25 years. I am currently a high school golf coach and our home course is the one I grew up playing. Today was practice we sent two groups out on the course and the other coach and I got a cart and were jumping around on the course to find gaps and play random holes without disrupting the flow of play for anyone else. We played hole 13, then 1, then 13,14, then jumped to 6 and we saw our team still had 2 holes left to play. We decided to jump back and play hole 5 and thats where it all happened. I eyeballed the distance as 165 which the other coach confirmed via laser. The hole always seems to play long so I pulled the 6 iron and set up. We were rushing to try to finish to meet the team when they finished #9. I struck the ball perfectly and within a second I commented that might be the best golf shot I’ve hit in my whole life. Baby draw back toward the flag, it landed bounced about 3 times, started to roll. Then disappeared. I looked over for confirmation and he nodded at me that it actually went in before we erupted cheering. Great day!
