Hello my name is Ronnie. I was playing 18 holes at Newport News golf club the Cardinal course. On the 4th hole which is a short par 4, they were doing maintenance on the tee boxes so they had the tees moved up 100 yards. So that left me about a 200 yard shot to the green. I took my reliable 4hybrid and hit a slight cut into the back center of the green. The way the hole is set up you can't really see the green from the tee box. So I walked to the green and found where my ball hit and the way the green is angled everything should roll to the front If you stick your ball on the green. Well I hit my shot a little thin and I thought the ball hit the green and bounced over. So I started looking for my ball on the back side of the green in the rough. I did not see any sign of my ball past the green so I looked and looked, so I decided to just look in the cup and sure enough the ball was in the hole. Marked my first hole in one ever on the scorecard and had signed the ball and put it in my bag. Then I had the Marshall that saw the whole thing on hole 5 sign my scorecard and made it official!
