It was a chilly, windy day but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play golf in Iowa. Played one of my favorite courses with a good friend. My buddy Matt has been playing for several years and has helped me a lot with my golf game. This is only my second year playing. We had played 18 holes and decided we wanted to play another nine. The course wasn’t busy so we got through quickly. We were on the front 9, hole 7. Nice little par 3. The first time I played the hole I used my 9i but hit off the toe. I knew I had the right club but just missed the last shot. With some wind in our face I knew I needed to get all of it. I made solid contact and hit just left of the pin where there was a hill. I watched the ball come down the hill and slowly roll, then just disappear. I knew it and was going crazy! Matt told me to calm down. He said it was close but not in. I of course knew better. I went running down the fairway as he drove the cart. We got to the hole and sure as *** there was the ball, in the cup! I made sure the whole neighborhood heard that I made a Hole In One!
