Was having a so, so day on the course, and got to #17 par 3 at Cedar Crest Golf Club in Smyrna, TN, and decided to switch my tee ball to a Pro V1 that had a #6 printed on it. I always use a #1,2,3 or 4 most days, but I had found this #6 a few weeks ago at Pine Creek Golf Course.
The hole was playing 134 yards with a front pin and slight wind behind me. I had an 8 iron in my hand but decided that was too much club and went back to my bag and got a 9 iron and that's when I also decided to switch balls. Looking for a little magic, I guess.
I put a good swing on the ball, with a slight draw coming right into the flag and the ball hit soft, making a divot just a foot right of the pin, took a slight right turn and rolled right in the cup. Beautiful shot. My playing partners went crazy........... lol
That Pro V1 #6 was a very Special Ball to say the least.
Turned out to be pretty good day after all. Drinks all around!!!!!!!!! lol
