On vacation in the Poconos, hot day, I really didn’t feel like playing but decided to play. Booked a tee time, joined up with 3 strangers, nice guys… Boggy the first hole (3 putt) I said to myself, this is going to be a long day! Got to the 2nd hole, I was last off the box. Par 3, 157 yards, thought about a 9 iron but went with the 8 iron. I flushed it, never left the pin in the air, took 1 hop and rolled into the hole. It happened so fast if I blinked I’d missed seeing it go in the hole… Ended up shooting a 78… not bad for first time on the course. I hope I don’t feel like playing more often.
