Great day at The Brute @ Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. My Sunday group (The P8) took our contest on the road to play both courses hear in a friendly competition. Had a great day previously (84 on the Highlands) and after a 60 minute rain delay we got round 2 going. Hole 8 was playing 149 yards which is perfect for an easy 8 iron. I was second up and flushed it, head stayed down with right shoulder lifting my chin to see the dead straight flight just right of the hole. I heard a "looks good" and "go in" as it landed about 4 feet in front, rolled, disappeared. Pure bliss and a whoooo!!! Our other 4 some was on the green just behind us and got to share in the celebration. My sister recently passed and every golfer says a little something in their heads when stepping up to a par 3 and I did too. I am sure she helped me that day. What a memory.
