On August 2, 1975 I was 15 years old and I played in a golf tournament with my father. It was a warm summer day in Richmond, VA and we were paired with two very good golfers at a local golf club. On the 7th hole, I teed off and made a perfect swing with my 7 iron. I still remember the feeling of that swing. The hole was 168 yards long and my ball hit the green, bounced once, and then struck the pin and fell into the cup. We couldn't believe our eyes. My late father played golf more than 50 years during his lifetime, and he never made a hole-in-one on his own. So that day it was for both of us, and it is the best father-son golf memory I have. The Titleist ball from 1975 is pictured here with the award Titleist sent me!
