Had my first hole in one on 15th of April 2025. Playing in our weekly competition at Camden Lakeside in Sydney on the par 3 10th hole. Both of my playing partners are low markers, one a bit better than scratch and the other around 2. My shot was a high draw with a 6 iron that looked like it landed on the front right of the green or just short, we couldn't tell, it was a back left flag and hole was playing around 175 m. One of my partners blocked one right into long grass and amongst trees, the other came up a fair bit short. I went to help my partner look for his ball in the long grass, after we found it I went to get my ball that we thought landed just short or on front right. I saw a ball just short where I thought my ball was, it couldn't be my other partners he wouldn't leave his chip that short. When I got there I saw it wasn't my ball, partner said it was his, he duffed his chip. Where was my ball then? We all thought it landed on the front right. We looked but couldn't see any ball, one of them casually said, "maybe it's in the hole". Couldn't be, so eventually I walked over and looked in the hole, yep there it was, I just oh yeah it's in the hole. Probably the most anti climactic hole in one ever. Ball had landed on the front right and rolled out all the way to the hole at the back. Our club gives you a nice little glass trophy to mount your ball on. I was so happy that I was using a pro v 1 with my sons race number on it 49. I always buy a box of 49's if I see them.
