On 23 March 2024, I recorded my first hole‑in‑one on the 17th hole at Pacific Golf Club. The hole was playing about 170 metres. I hit a 6‑iron, struck solidly, but lost sight of the ball in flight, which is fairly typical for me. My playing partners followed it all the way and immediately said it was in the hole. I’d heard similar claims before, and those shots usually turned up in garden beds or other unhelpful locations around the green. This time, the ball was actually in the cup. My first—and so far only—hole‑in‑one.
