Playing DeLaveaga in Santa Cruz, CA, with my good friends Kevin and Sean, and a new friend Yuji, we arrived at hole 15 around noon. The hole plays 172 yards from the blue tee markers and Kevin kicked us off with a beautiful shot to about 5 feet from the hole. Sean and Yuji went next and both hit good shots, just off the green. I decided to hit a 6 iron and it was a nice draw that started at the right side of the green and came back towards the hole which was playing up front. I saw it hit the front of the green and it looked good, but a little short of the hole. We got up to the green and couldn't find my ball so I thought maybe it had spun backwards off the front of the green, but the guys were saying maybe I should check the hole first. I'm thinking "no way" that's not likely, but I took a quick look anyway and sure enough there it was. I dropped the putter and 60-degree wedge that I had brought with me to the green and we all hugged. Felt amazing! Used the "Titleist Pro V1x" with number "68" on it that I have been ordering online from Titleist.com for a while. The number is what my kids wore when they played ice hockey as kids. Ended up chipping in for par on hole 17 as well, finished the round, and then gave my credit card to the bartender and bought drinks for everyone in the bar. Great Day!
