After 44 years of playing golf I finally got my first hole in one!! I was playing with 2 other guys in my golf league at Twin Lakes Golf in Clifton, VA. We were playing the Oaks Course and Hole #12 was playing about 120 yards into a strong wind.

My playing partners went first and both were short and left with one in the bunker. I went last and hit my Titleist T-200 9 Iron on a good line but none of us saw it land due to the blinding sun that day.

I drove the cart and dropped off my buddy Chris. I proceeded to be the first to get to the large green. and saw no golf balls. I thought OK its either in the hole or somehow it rolled off the back. My GUT told me to check the hole first as I knew I hit it well and BINGO there it was!!

My takeaway.....TRUST YOUR GUT!! :-)
