The year was 1978. I was playing in a high school golf match in Western Pennsylvania. Black Hawk Golf Course in Beaver Falls, PA. I was a little guy back then. The course had multiple 9s and this was on the 4th hole of the 3rd nine. 156 yards into a strong wind on a stormy day. Hit a low shot to keep it out of the wind as much as possible.. Hit front of green and ran about 30 feet on the green. Hit the pin and in it went.

I can close my eyes and still see the shot. Long before internet and posting online... I've attached a plaque my dad made me back then with the newspaper article cut out and laminated onto a wood frame. The Titleist ball is also the actual ball that was used. It's a great keepsake and grateful that my dad commemorated the achievement.
