Just wondering why Scotty is still using velcro closures on his putter covers, when everyone else is using magnetic closures. Magnetic is so much better. The velcro comes apart over time.

100% agree with this and I have taken a few of my covers to a tailor to have the velcro replaced with magnets. Not only does the velcro wear over time, the velcro scratches the finish over time, especially on the black finished Scotty's

Some pitfalls I've found with SOME magnetic putter cover closures, is the magnet is glued to the interior portion of the cover and I've had magnets come unglued over time and then it becomes a fishing game to get the magnet in the right orientation. Some manufacturers are better than others.

Velcro is junk, and should not be on any headcovers. I have done the same with installing my own magnets, but another option I tried is metal snaps. Get a set from a hardware or hobby store and try that. With my headcovers I was able to peel back one layer and install the snap so it doesn't contact the putter head.

Scotty has done magnets for some **STARS** and I got fumble around with them and they were MUCH better than the velcro used now!

Has never been an issue. Guess it all depends on who manufactures the headcovers. All my headcovers are either AM&E (velcro) and PRG (magnetic). Seems all my Scotties are manufactured by AM&E.

Just recently took a PNW cover to a tailor to have the Velcro removed and magnets put in, always wanted to put the PNW cover in my bag but couldn’t deal with the Velcro. It was a super easy process, the lady is a friend and didn’t even charge me for the alteration

I must be lucky as I've never had any problems with the velcro on my Scotty covers.

Completely agree…the Velcro wears and I have lost head covers as a result of this. I recently started installing nice metal snaps on my head covers to address this.
