    Hi everybody,

Hope everyone had a successful 2011 golf season.  As the new year approaches in a few hours, it is time to look forward to 2012 and decide on a new year's resolution.  My resolution is continuing to improve upon my short game, especially on the putting surface in the hopes of shooting my best scores ever.  What's yours?

Best of luck to everyone in 2012.

    Tom

Tom, Mine is to keep my handicap index in the single digit range and play more rounds than I did in 2011, in which I played 165 rounds at my club. Pat

I'm going to try to lose 20 lbs, keep up my exercise program to prevent more back injuries, keep working on my short game and to continue to have fun when I get a chance to play. Carl
  5. My New Year's resolution...for starters, I need to quit staring at my new MB's, SM4's and Cali, still in their plastic wrappers...unwrap them, and go out and play. I'd like to improve my greenside bunker play. I'm devoting half of every practice session to practicing those shots.

To break par again.  I haven't done it since my second (of three) child was born.  Last round out I was over par just once - on the last hole of the day when I bogeyed to finish +1.  I seem to be able to shoot in the mid to high 70's all day long, I just want to get over that hump again and shoot "under".

    Happy New Year everyone.

2012 - the year that Éire REALLY takes over.  Rory will continue to rise in dominance, Graeme will finally figure out his new equipment and Padraig will resurface as a dominant player in tourneys - and Majors.  DC?  I love the man, but I don't know if he will be back.  BEST swan song ever though.  Go raibh maith agat, Darren.

I would say to work on my iron and wedge play and to focus more on them. I've been too focused on my driver and wood play to worry about the irons.

To graduate from college, hit more fairways and greens in regulation, and get another hole in one.  And spend as much time with my family as I can, and maybe get my girlfriend to marry me.  Looks to be a banner year.

TO BREAK THE 9 HOLE COURSE RECORD AT MY HOME COURSE. 3 GUYS HAVE SHOT (-6) 30 AND IN 2011 IN SHOT 31 3 TIMES. A FEW LESS LIP OUTS, A FEW MORE DARTS ON THE STICK, AND LITTLE BIT OF LUCK IN 2012!!!

To concentrate on my irons . . . stop going for those "sucker" pins and hit for the fat part of the green . . . which will stop my tendency to 3 putt!

To shoot the majority of my rounds in the 70s. That should keep the handicap firmly in the single digits.
