Well its not exactly a hatred for me because I love to play the game but there are definitely a couple course that I am generally sick of playing. They are just boring layouts to me now and tbis one course in particular has jacked up their prices over the years and annual players can't figure out why. I mean, they have the right to. It what was once an affordable round to play a couple times a week has become unreasonable and they have trouble getting people to the course. So I guess I could hate that.

Woah Mad Golfer (maybe it's in the name) take a breath, enjoy a cocktail and relax.  Unless you're golfing for a living there's no need to put yourself through 4 hours of torture.  There's defiantly courses I haven't enjoyed, and certainly courses that don't fit my eye.  I wouldn't say I hate or HATE any of them, but yeah it was a tough round.

Desert Pines in Vegas was one of them.  The course was in great shape, but there were lots of nuances and places you just don't want to miss.  There were many things I wish I had known about prior to teeing off.  A yardage book would have helped tremendously.  I probably wont play it again.  The course closest to my house I find incredibly annoying.  The last 3 holes always cause a back up, and it seems like every hole is a dogleg left.  I've played it 5 times and each time after my 18th hole handshakes I always walk away (after a 5-6 hour round) saying "I won't go back".

The main thing you gotta think about (not trying to preach here) is golf is played for fun by 99.9% of us.  When I see people that are just having a terrible time I wonder why they play.  It's always tough to be paired up with the "self loathing golfer".  It get's awkward for the other members of the group when one guy takes a turn to negative town. Yes,  It can bring an entire group down.  I'm sure the course loathing golfer could do the same thing.  So no, you're not crazy. If you hate a course, don't go back.  If you go back, sneak a couple of oat sodas in your bag and try to enjoy it.

Lesson One - don't take the game seriously.  You play better golf that way.   If you "go golfing" on one hole - take a step back, take a deep breath, maybe cut one or two (flatulence is an integral part of the game), sit on the bench, etc.  The reason hackers are hackers is they get ticked off at bad shots.

Lesson Two - don't try to kill the ball.

I have two courses that I play regularly and have particular holes that had been "choke" city (#3 on Oaks North Course and #4 at Riverwalk Friars).  For some odd reason I had been hitting blocked tee shots on these.   Last time I played Oaks I got on the green in 2 on #3.  Today I put my tee shot on the edge of the green on Friars #4.  Shortening my 5W and 4H by 1/2" cured the problem.

thanks for the  support team, first i know its a mental block i need to address because what i basically did was sabotage my round before i even teed off, for the 2days prior i was saying that i didnt like this course.but played anyway. If I heard my son or his buddies talking like this  they would get a ear full about being mature.(they all play high school golf).so I decided that im going to go back in a couple of weeks ,and face this demon. again thanx for support!
