Thanks for the post, it was a great article.
You would think someone would invent alignment sticks that screw into the housing of your bag, for dual
purpose, stand up bag, and alignment sticks for hitting balls at the range. Sounds simple.

Good idea. But once you use them, the dirt from the ground will fill the threads and lock into the bag housing. Plus you'd have to lay your bag done legless, Don't you think?
Just keep it simple, keep 'em in the trunk or bag when not in use.
Deno
Deno, you are right, to much snow. Most ranges nowadays have nice grass, astroturf, and most
have tripod stands to let your clubs stand up. I am sure someone will figure it out and make a million,
with two fiberglass rods.
Happy New Year.............and...........GO PATS !!!! heheheheh

We both have too much time on our hands with all the snow in the Northeast (NJ for me). We need sunshine, 70 degrees, and green fairways.
Have a great 2011

Snow...? What snow? It's been in the upper 60's +/- for a while now, at least down here. I have a home in SC, but, well, lets just say that I'm thinking about making OH my permanent residence. There's truly no place like home. I'd like to see some "real" snow. We had a touch of snow down here not too long ago. It didn't stick and was gone the next day.
As for alignment stick drills...I carry 3 with me. I use them for all sorts on drills. Alignment, ball position, swing plane, hip movement, putting, and so on. There are many different ways to position the sticks. It all depends on what you're wanting to do. If you need help with any thing, feel free to ask any time.
Hey guys, how about traing aids, specifaclly swing aids. Have any of you tried the orange whip? To many aids not enough info. to honestly purchase one. Can't hit the faiways in boston might as well work on the swing!
I saw them last week. A little to much whip, and to much money. They try to sell anything. Most of it is junk.
The best aid is, The Momentus and, The Medicus and the alignment stick that connect to the
housing of your bag.......hehehehe.......I ran a driving range for years, I saw them all from Jack Nicklaus,
Leadbetter, Nick Price, and the rest of them all, junk. Practice, your balance, and, chipping & putting,
then tee it up with a new Titelist Ball, and have fun. After all, you are not going to play the U.S. Open.

24 inches here in NJ. That's real snow. Don, you're right about the overated training aids. You can't beat a golf ball, a club ,and a cup.
Practicing balance, muscle memory, and working on core strength and flexibility will take more strokes off your game than any gadget will.

On my way Deno, I am working with a training program fom TPI. Covers all the bases you have just mentioned. I have the oportunity to hit balls inside at the golf club I work at. When i hit a few it seems so strange and tight. even with the work out. That'ts why I thought a swing trainer will keep me loose. Hiting into a net can hurt your swing if your just repeating a bad habit. Haven't convinced the pro to take a free look at my swing now and then to avoid this potential problem.

Plenty of drills with the weighted medicine ball from TPI. I like their drills with the ball. They are fairly inexpensive. Again, the CORE muscles are the key to the swing. The ability to rotate and balance has to be trained.
Great videos and help on the TPI site. Titleist is the best innovative company on the planet and their development staff is second to none. I trust these guys as much as I trust my Titleist.
Have a great season,
Deno
