Ever have a nagging injury just squash your golf game? I have the radial nerve in the elbow area acting up. Walked off the course last week after 8 holes. And yes, I was playing very well!

I have a lovely back defect which I need surgery for it, most of the time I can manage 9 holes with little issues.
However very often I get a lack of stability and pain with it, I have been able to get finish my rounds but with a lot discomfort.

Left wrist flares up from time to time. Will ice it and rest it a couple of days, then back to golf.

How old are you? Not a sarcastic question. I'm turning 50 in a month and my life is a nagging injury. I've recovered from the knee replacement, mostly, but everything around it is different now so I have achilles, plantar fascia, calf muscles, etc. all affected in some part at any given time. Getting older isn't for wimps.

    Jeff,

I'm 52, a gym rat, still play hoops twice a week, and swing 115+ with 5 screws in one elbow and this nagging injury in the other. Let's see now, my right side has had a dislocated shoulder, broken collarbone, 5 screws in the elbow, and arm broken. I'm a walking calcium deposit....lol

A lower back issue that affects the sciatica either left or right at times but never at the same time. I always feel like I've been robbed each time I can't get on and play.

I get some elbow issues -- particularly if I've had to hit off turf mats for any length of time. Aside from Advil to just manage any inflammation, Biofreeze really works great. I keep a tube in my locker at the club and just put a small dab on before heading out. Doesn't stink and isn't greasy.

Does losing $20 every time i play hotsauce count as a nagging injury to my wallet?

On a serious note, yes my lower back every now and then. I do go to the gym but one thing i never do is stretch which I need to do more often. Ibuprofen is my BFF...
  10. Left wrist, lower back , lack of flexibility that I used to have. Most are age related. Never know how many rounds are left for anyone, so I choose to ignore the little issues as best I can and keep playing. Walk every round, get my exercise, enjoy the environment, people and surroundings, and not worry to much about the score card. Some rounds are good, which send my back again, some rounds are not so good, which send me back again as well! Isn't that why we all keep playing? Love this game!

Left shoulder issue has flared up over the last couple of months. Not sure how or why, but i'm trying to work through it, but at time it hurts at impact with my irons. I manage it with ice and rest.

I broke my left ankle last year, so now with a metal plate and screws in my ankle, post round it will flare up and I need to ice it down.

Sciatica, it is debilitating. Has gotten to the point where I have set(made them longer) all my irons to 39" so I don't have to bend over as much. It works.
