So now golf is done for most of us for the year let’s hear about your beat round of the year and few details about it that made it happen!

For me: Shot par 72 in day 2 of our club championship! Thanks to a a great round of scrambling for par saves and a great 40ft 2 putt with about 4 feet left on the bone for my second putt! I came second in the club thanks in part to a 82 on day 1 with a 4 putt quad on the 18th lol!

This was the second time I’ve shot par with the other being about 6 years ago in a casual round so this is actually my best round ever.

71 at a county course. I surprised myself; I'm great at scrambling haha.

Best this year was a 71, +1 for the round. What made it special was playing with my two sons with my 17 year old breathing down my neck and finishing with a 75. The kid is good, but he still hasn't beaten the old man yet!

Don't worry it wont be long. Took years for my son to beat me. Now he has a big distance advantage and i have to be spot on to beat him. But I never take it easy on him. Still like to blow it past him once in awhile to.

Shot a 73 at Timberline Golf Course, home of Demon's Run. 4 really tough finishing holes here in eastern Iowa this year. Best round I've shot there ever.
  7. My best round this year was a 2 under 70 at Bagby State golf course Meadow Links great course , first under par round ever .

Best of the year for me was at my home club in January. Shot a 67 with five birdies and a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, I threw in a double bogey for variety.

My best round of the year was at the end of October, Taylor meadows golf course, my home course
Shot an 85, pretty good for my handicap, no birdies, but a lot of pars, even a couple of sand saves.
I felt like my best ball striking in a long time, hopefully, I can pick up and build on that after my upcoming back surgery, unfortunately, we had to move it to next spring, so depending on the next season, I should be back playing next fall.

I had my best score over this past year. I shot 64, while making birdie on 5 of the last 6 holes. To be honest, some of the putts that went in were just ridiculous...Like I am talking about making 2 of the 5 birdies from outside 35'.

I felt like the Bishop in Caddyshack, things just went my way. Also the first time I shot a sub 30 nine with 29 coming home.

Without a ProV1 or my full cast of Titleist clubs, and my Scotty, this would have never happened.

Have a great holiday, and keep the questions coming. I hadn't thought about that round in a while and this question was great timing, as we are not getting out all that often up in New England at this point.

Recorded a personal best 68 (-2) during a practice round for our club championship. Unfortunately I was playing as a single that day.

But my best round was just a few weeks ago during a buddies trip Legends in Myrtle. The best ball striking I’ve had in years. If I had any feel for the greens, I would have been in 60’s. But a 73 (+1) with a triple and a few 3 jacks was a blast!

Shot a 5 under 67 in early November at my home course in my second to last round there. Course closed for ever two week later. The 67 tied my best ever with the other being about 35-40 years ago.
  17. I shot +1 at my home course twice this summer. The last time featured a double bogey on 17 when it looked like a round of even par or better.

I few rounds in the 60s this years, not as many as I would have liked but I did have driver issues for a week or two!

Hope to be able to shoot my age next season....

Good fortune to have all part working playing The Old Course. Didn't break 90, but played the back 9 in 42 and the last 4 holes at 2 over par. Always good to have a good finish to feel good about a course.
  21. 79 a couple of times this year. I haven't been at my best this year as I've had better. BUT, in club champs I did shoot 1 under on the front, and since the world is a law of averages, came in with a 44. Maybe some nerves? And today it's snowing, the 79 is probably going to stand. I'll beat it next year!
  22. Broke 70 and shot under par for 18 holes for the first time ever. Birdie on 18 to shoot 69 (nice)

76, in July. Everything fell into place that day, 39 - 37 on a par 72 course with 26 putts. For a 13 handicap it was my best round on my home course ever. I am striving in 2019 to equal or better this score to continue to lower my cap. 3 - 4 months until the golf season starts again....can't wait.
