Are you going to go out and play or will you stay away?
Luckily, right now we are getting multiple weeks with lots of rain so my decision is easy. Once drier weather moves in, it may be a tough choice. Typically in the spring courses in my area stay pretty busy, so I guess I'll go the wait and see route.
Stay safe, stay healthy!!
First, I hope everyone is staying healthy and obeying the guidance to minimize social contact. I’m wondering how folks are handling golf in these trying times. My club in SC is effectively ‘closing’ on Friday. We’ll be open for walkers only with all clubhouse facilities closed. As an added precaution, all pins, rakes, coolers, sand bottles, etc. will be removed to minimize common touch points. Aim for the middle of the green!! I’ve played alone the last two mornings and have really enjoyed it - I’m able to get some good exercise by walking 18 in 2-1/2 hours. I’ve also enjoyed the solitude. My biggest fear is that I’ll make an ace with no witnesses!!
How are all of you handling these unprecedented times?
Finally, a plea. Pay attention to the mental health needs of your family, friends, and community during this cri
Plan on playing but our courses have made modifications to the spacing between tee times from 6 minutes to 15 minutes. No gathering of large numbers in the club house or on the course. For cart riders I can only assume they are allowing individual riders (they did not say though in their statement email) The strange on to me is they closed the driving range???? They only have 15 spots on the range & it is never full when I've been there but they closed all of them at every course.......Nor have they said if you can practice chipping & putting at the practice greens.
It's been cold & rainy for the last 4 days so I wouldn't be at the course right anyway, but these changes are thru May 1st, or longer if needed.
Be Safe everyone
