The inaugural Team Titleist Cup is officially in the books, and what a week it was. Set along the dramatic coastline of Nova Scotia at Cabot Cape Breton, the first-ever Ryder Cup-style showdown between Team Titleist members from the U.S. and Canada delivered everything we hoped for: spirited competition, unforgettable moments, and lasting camaraderie.
Day 1
We kicked things off at The Nest, Cabot’s scenic par-3 short course, with a casual “super team” best ball event to get the competitive juices flowing. Right out of the gate, Team USA’s James Y. gave us a moment to remember with an ace on his very first swing of the competition. The tone was set.
Day 2
Match play officially began on the Links Course with a two-person scramble under clear Canada Day skies. The day brought tight matches and heroic finishes. One U.S. duo rallied from 3 down with 5 to play, birdieing three straight to earn a gritty half. Canada answered with flair as a father-son team drained a 50-footer on the final hole to claim a full point for the home side.
Team USA finished the morning session ahead 4½ to 1½ and kept the momentum in the afternoon’s best ball matches, taking 4 of 6 points and building a commanding 8½ to 3½ lead heading into the final day.
Day 3
With weather moving in and 12 singles matches left to play, Team Canada needed a surge. The matches were competitive throughout, but Team USA closed strong, winning the singles session 7½ to 4½ to claim the inaugural Team Titleist Cup with a final score of 16 to 8.
More Than a Match
Inspired by our friends in the Asia-Pacific region and their annual Team Titleist Championship, this first-ever event marks a major step toward building a more global and connected Team Titleist community. Whether separated by provinces or oceans, our mission remains the same: bring passionate golfers together through the game we all love.
World-Class Venue
A special thank you to the entire team at Cabot Cape Breton for their world-class hospitality and flawless execution. From the first tee to the final toast, they helped make this a truly unforgettable experience. If Cabot isn’t already on your golf bucket list, it should be.
Congratulations to Team USA on the win, and a huge thank you to Team Canada for bringing the fire all week long. While this might be our first and last USA vs. Canada-specific battle, we should have some exciting news for annual international matches coming soon!
