Currently have all the records for my son's progress through the years of his golfing.  He has won many tournaments, received player of the year(s), MVP, etc and are getting ready for his senior year of high school.  This past summer, has competed in several tournaments, many hours of practice, etc.  I have inquired on a few websites from different golf club manufacturer's looking for information on how to prepare and send out resume's to college recruiters, but have not received any feed back from those sites.  Can Titleist or a member of Team Titleist offer some guidance?

    Thank You,

    Bill

Bill, A few years ago I went through this fun and exciting process, I was fortunate enough to have a few coaches contact me out of the blue, though I did not play many national tournaments. I am certain the process has changed a little bit, but If your son is already interested in a few schools, be as proactive as possible especially if the coach hasn't reached out to you yet. You can get all of the coaches contact information on the schools website, and start there. I can not stress how important good grades are, along with a good playing resume. If/ when you contact the coach and there is some interest, don't be surprised if the coach asks for a video tape or a cd showing the golf swing and some shots, again you are selling yourself to get scholarship money. I believe there is a few websites that will have more information about the recruiting process, but I at least gave you a little bit of a start. If you or your son would like to talk more, pm me. Good luck!

Go to www.golfstat.com and follow the link for the Ping Collegiate guide.  That is your best bet.

    Patrick,

Thank you for the insight.  My son is an honor student for we have an agreement...school first...then golf.  He has mentioned a few schools and we'll begin contacting the coaches.  Once again, thank you!!!
